After 3,5 years the General Manager of Femundløpet has decided to step down.

- It has been a great honour and challenge to work for the Femundløpet. I enjoyed every moment of it and am very proud and humbled that I was entrusted with this job back in 2010.

- When we came to Norway first, 4 years ago, we were unsure as to where and if we would stay in the mountain region and thus searched for employment in the whole region. Now we have decided to stay and plant our roots in Folldal. Vanessa and her husband have recently bought a house in Folldal and Vanessa wishes to find a new challenge nearer Folldal and have some more time to dedicate to their own little sleddog kennel.

- Vanessa has been instrumental in the professionalization of The Femund Race. She has with oversight and keen eye for details built the race to a well organized event with nearly 700 volunteers. We thank her for her efforts and are happy that Vanessa will continue to contribute in other positions in the years to come, says Thomas Breen chairman of the Femundløpet board.

- I have gotten to know some fantastic people and have again and again been impressed over how committed the volunteers are. I will greatly miss working together with all these enthusiastic people.

It can’t be excluded however that you won’t see Vanessa at the race. She is quite keen to volunteer or maybe even take part one day with her own dogs.
