Roar Kvilhaug has his family as back up if he mushes the F400. Daughter, son and wife are his handlers and it doesn´t miss of support.
- Shmashing, dad! You are running like a god, bursts Silje Kvilvang and gives a well earned praise to the leading dog Maria too.
Roar Kvilhaug team just arrived the check point in Tufsingdalen, and it looks like appriciation to see known people. Silje Kilvang has grown up with dogs and dogsledding exactly here in Tufslingdalen. She loves to follow all check points and the race closely. Roar Kvilhaug is of course happy for all the support.
- Dogsleding takes a lot of time and money. Then it´s nice to get some understanging, that the training of the dogs someitimes has do be done bevore other things, he tells.
His carrer as musher started with the Femundløpet. He was getting curiouse and interessted by it and today he competed alredy severel years. And that´s how it´s going to be in futur.
- If I stop running the Femundløpet, I stop to mush, he declares and turns towards cafe for a warm meal and a rest.
