Special tasks

Volunteer veterinarians
We also seek veterinarians with interest in sports medicine to take care of the canine athletes. If you are interested in volunteering as a veterinarian or a vet assistant (this is possible for veterinary students) please read more here.

Webteam / Photographers
Femundløpet has it's own webteam. They update the website continualy during the race and keep the public and press updated about what is happening out on the trail. We need journalists, reporters, photographers, translators and people who can coordinate the teams from the web center.

Volunteer translators
We are also seeking translators that can work during the whole year translating texts and articles for our website from Norwegian to English and vice versa. This is a job that can be done from anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer and an internet connection!

What do you get as a volunteer?
Volunteer work is compensated with one week of fantastic upclose experience of the race. Amount of working hours and how the work is organised depends on what team or checkpoint you are assigned to. To obtain full volunteer status you should contribute with at least 12 hours of your time.

When on shift you will be provided with food and drink and all volunteers receive a volunteer discount card that they can use in many shops and restaurants where the race takes place. Our main sponsor Rørosbanken also gives a CREW clothing item to all volunteers.
