While Ralph Johannessen puts on the last booties, Arnt Ola Skjerve distributes snacks to his dogs. Soon the 70 km long Folldal-loops waits.
Arnt Ola also makes sure to put some snacks in his sled, but doesn't stress even if Ralph is a few steps ahead of him in his preparations. Ralph is overflowing with confidence because of his dogs.
- They are so strong that I need two strong guys to stand on the hooks while I drive away.
Nevertheless he knows that his team has been a bit slower than de others on the way from Tynset, but he still bets on being able to keep his competitors behind him.
- I think my dogs have run fast, but the others have gone even faster, so I just have to get going a bit before them.
And while the mushers that found a place furthest along the resting places, Robert Sørlie comes sauntering in, on the surface looking just as calm as the other two. He came in at 06.30 Sunday morning, 25 minutes behind Ralph, while Arnt Ola arrived at Grimsbu almost an hour before Ralph. In addition to that, he also rested a few hours in Tynset and has therefor significantly fitter dogs than the other two.
